We had a wonderful presentation from our speaker on Sunday! He is serving in a “creative access” area, which means that the country he serves will not grant visas to anyone to come in as a missionary. So he uses the training he has to enter the country to work in a “secular” occupation, but is able to witness for Christ to anyone who is interested in knowing more about Christ.
We will not be posting a podcast of the service this week, since if government officials in that country wanted to cause problems for Christians, they potentially could use this podcast to drum up charges against our speaker. This country has a history of persecution of Christians and so we have made the choice not to post the recording so that we don’t unnecessarily endanger our Christian brother.
We apologize for the inconvenience of not having a recording for the podcast this week. Of course, this is a reminder that the best way to hear the message (and the excellent music which we can’t share due to copyright restrictions) each week is to attend in person!
UPDATE: We are about $230 away from our goal of raising pledges of $10,500 for missions this past weekend! If you would like to give or pledge toward our goal, please let us know. Contact us at office@jaxnaz.org or check out our website for our mailing address: www.jaxnaz.org.
Second UPDATE: We have received pledges totaling $10,888 as of 4/5/09! Thank you to all who pledged! We are still accepting pledges and donations for our missions outreach. Contact us at office@jaxnaz.org or check out our website for our mailing address: www.jaxnaz.org.

This week’s podcast begins with the story of a man who took an unusual job at the local zoo.
